Story of Sri Subramanyeswara Swamy Temple (Mopidevi Temple) :- In childhood, Subramanyeshwar was sitting near his mother Goddess Parvati, then Subramanyeshwar started laughing after seeing the clothed goddesses and naked Dev Rishis, and then his mother Goddess Parvati scolded him for this behavior. And after some time, Subramanyeswara realized his mistake and to repent, he had to do penance for many years in the form of a snake. The place where Subramanyeswara did penance is known as Mopidevi.
