This magnificent temple was built during the 12th century by the Chalukya dynasty in honor of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita, which is spread over an area of about 250 acres. It is believed that when Lord Rama and Lakshmana were going to meet Hanuman ji, at the same time Lord Rama and Lakshmana stayed here, that is why there is no idol of Hanuman ji inside the temple. The temple was built by excellent architecture and intricate carvings, there is a large courtyard in the temple area, and around that courtyard many small temples have been built with excellent artistry, which looks very interesting to see.
