Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple History
Sankat Mochan Temple History :- Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is built on the same spot where Goswami Tulsidas had a dream of Hanuman ji. This magnificent temple was established by Goswami Tulsidas, the author of Ramcharitmanas. It is also believed that Goswami Tulsidas composed most of the verses of Ramcharitmanas while sitting in this temple. According to the locals, devotees who visit here regularly receive special blessings from Hanumanji.
On March 7, 2006, there were a total of three blasts in Varanasi, and one of them occurred during the aarti at the Sankat Mochan Temple, where there were many devotees and visitors. After the blasts, people came together to help in the rescue efforts. And then the very next day, devotees started coming back in large numbers to perform their worship as normal.
